A trio of hand-carved wooden objects identified as Daghdghan, which are traditional Armenian protective amulets. Each piece is crafted from walnut wood and features a rich, dark aged patina. The objects are designed with a circular or slightly ovoid face and a tapered handle. Every handle is pierced with a rectangular slot, and the reverse side of each amulet contains a square recessed socket. The decorative faces feature hand-carved geometric motifs in a folk-art style, including multi-point starbursts, sunbursts, and radial patterns. While these objects bear a visual resemblance to domestic dairy tools such as lollipop-style butter stamps, they are culturally used as charms to ward off the evil eye. No maker marks, patent dates, or manufacturer stamps are visible on any of the pieces. Each item is hand-carved from a single block of wood and contains no replacement parts.
