This antique portable tube vulcanizer was manufactured by the Adamson Manufacturing Company in East Palestine, Ohio. Designed for repairing rubber inner tubes for early automotive tires, the device is constructed of cast iron. The tool consists of a central circular heating cup integrated into a clamp mechanism with a rectangular fuel reservoir or base attached to one side. The clamp is operated by two threaded screws with wing nuts located at either end of the flared horizontal arms. The top surface of the main body features embossed lettering in a circular and horizontal arrangement reading ADAMSON MFG. CO. PATENTED APR. 1. 1913 EAST PALESTINE O.
