The wood has acquired a deep, honey-brown patina over time. The plane features a prominent, curved wooden handle or horn at the front for guiding the tool. The profile includes a stepped ledge on one side, and a vertical rectangular mouth is visible on the sole. A small, circular white paper label with the handwritten digits 241 is affixed to the heel of the plane. No maker's stamps or manufacturer marks are visible on the exterior surfaces.
