This antique mechanical recording savings bank was manufactured by The Burdick-Corbin Co. in Detroit, Michigan. It is constructed from sheet metal with an arched top and features a coin slot at the top right. A manual crank located on the right side operates the internal tally mechanism, which registers the value of deposited coins through three display windows on the front face. These windows contain aged celluloid inserts. The lower portion of the front face features a circular keyhole for access to the stored funds. Stamped text near the base identifies the manufacturer: MFD BY THE BURDICK-CORBIN CO. DETROIT MICH. with patent dates including APR 1 - 01 and SEPT 2 - 02.
