The front and back panels are printed with Patterson's in gold block lettering above an arched Seal in large shadowed black and gold letters, with Cut Plug at the base. A central sunburst graphic surrounds a diamond-shaped logo containing a circular emblem depicting a seal. Inscriptions within the medallion include R.A. Patterson Tobacco Co., Established 1856, and Richmond, VA. One side panel features decorative scrolled ribbons with the text For Smoking and Chewing, while the adjacent side reads R.A.
