A carved bone apple corer, likely dating to the 18th or 19th century. This implement is fashioned from a single animal long bone, utilizing the natural articular structure at the proximal end as a rounded handle. The shaft features a deep, semi-cylindrical channel carved into the side, tapering to a sharp, pointed distal end used for coring fruit. The exterior of the bone is decorated with multiple incised ring-and-dot motifs and small drilled pits. A single circular hole is perforated through the bone near the base of the handle. The surface displays a highly polished finish and a rich, honey-colored aged patina.
