This small porcelain souvenir creamer was manufactured in Germany for the American market during the early 20th century. The form features a scalloped foot, a slightly waisted body, and a scrolled handle with a integrated thumb rest. The front of the pitcher displays a multi-color transfer-printed oval vignette depicting the Bayfield County Court House in Washburn, Wisconsin. The architectural rendering shows a classical-style brick building with a columned portico and a central dome against a blue and orange sky. Below the image, the piece is titled COURT HOUSE, WASHBURN, WIS. in black block letters. The rim and handle are accented with gold-toned gilding. The base features black stamped marks including the initials J. H. R. and Co. for importer John H. Roth and Co., along with a circular retailer mark for W. M. Chase of Willmar, Minnesota. Approximately 3.5 to 4 inches in height.
