The surface is engraved with white pigment-filled markings including the brand name MANHATTAN RUBBER contained within a horizontal oval border. To the left of the text is a circular logo containing a monogram with a large M and a smaller R. The model designation DL999 is engraved directly below the primary logo. This type of hard rubber ball was a standard of the bowling industry during the mid-20th century.
