This vintage wind-up toy depicts the Disney character Pluto in a stalking or creeping pose, a model commonly referred to as Wise Pluto. The toy is constructed of two halves of lithographed tin joined together. The lower right side of the body is marked with a copyright symbol and 1939 WALT DISNEY PROD. The lower left side features the Louis Marx and Company logo, consisting of a large letter M with MAR above and X below, alongside the text MADE IN U.S.A. PAT # 2,001,625. This patent number corresponds to a specific clockwork mechanism designed for creeping toys. The item includes an integrated metal winding key located on its right side. No original packaging is included.
