This is a vintage circular advertising paperweight or industrial product sample from the National Lead Company. The heavy disc is cast from a lead-based alloy, consistent with the company's manufacturing history of solder and babbitt metals. The obverse features a high-relief central figure of the iconic Dutch Boy mascot seated on a stack of containers and holding a paintbrush aloft. The disc includes raised lettering identifying the manufacturer, the brand name, and the specific product line. The reverse is flat and unadorned.
