A large ceramic mixing bowl produced by T.G. Green and Company Ltd. of Church Gresley, England. This bowl features the patented Gripstand design, distinguished by a notched, footed base that allows the vessel to be securely tilted at an angle during manual mixing. The exterior is finished in a traditional cane or ochre colored glaze, while the interior is finished in a contrasting white glaze. The decorative scheme includes an embossed rope-twist band located just below the flared rim and a series of large, raised oval panels encircling the body. Each panel contains a central diamond or lozenge motif with a central circular boss. The base is impressed with a clear maker mark reading Gripstand Mixing Bowl around a triple concentric ring logo, Green's, 15, Diameter, and Patent No. 491954 Made in England. Diameter: 15 inches.
