A vintage miniature advertising coal scuttle or hod, likely intended for use as a desktop match holder or promotional novelty. The item is constructed from cast metal with a textured black crinkle finish and features a pivoting brass-tone wire handle. The front of the scuttle displays a circular graphic label for Black Arrow Superior Processed Coal, with red and silver-toned lettering against a black background. The label includes the text BLACK ARROW SUPERIOR PROCESSED COAL HYDRO-WASHED.
