The bat is constructed of turned wood and features a multi-color printed graphic label on the barrel. The text on the label identifies the brand as Kinney Shoes and notes Over 500 Family Stores, G.R. Kinney Co., Inc., and 5 Big Factories. Additional promotional text includes Prices Make 2 Pairs Possible, Shoes for Dress, Work and Play—also Corrective Shoes, and Shoes and Hosiery for the Entire Family. Based on the visible seam near the knob and the small hole at the end, the item is designed as a container, likely a pencil case.
