A vintage promotional cloth cap produced for Coca-Cola, identified by printed markings as a factory sample. The crown is constructed from red, white, and blue fabric panels. The central white panel features red printed text reading Cap No. 17 M above a rectangular box containing the text 1939 SAMPLE. The primary advertisement reads DRINK Coca-Cola IN BOTTLES featuring the brand's trademarked Spencerian script logo. The cap is fitted with a large, translucent amber-colored visor finished with red fabric perimeter binding. The underside of the visor displays a molded linear texture. This item represents an early examples of mass-market soft-crown promotional headwear.
