This is a corporate achievement award presented by Chevrolet in 1961, titled The Competitor. The trophy features a cast metal sculpture with a silver-toned finish depicting a classical warrior. The figure is styled with a crested helmet and a short tunic, holding a circular shield aloft while resting one foot on a rocky outcrop. The cast base of the sculpture includes the raised Latin inscription AUDENTES FO, which is part of the phrase Audentes Fortuna Iuvat (Fortune favors the bold). The sculpture is mounted on a tiered wooden base with a black finish. A rectangular metal plaque is secured to the front of the base with two screws and features the following engraved text: THE COMPETITOR, 1961, P & A AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT, and JAMES ROGERS. The Chevrolet bowtie logo is engraved at the bottom of the plaque. The P & A designation refers to Chevrolet's Parts and Accessories division.
