The piece features a cast metal figure of a knight in plate armor in a dynamic standing pose, holding a pole that functions as the electrical conduit for a socket at the top. The socket is currently fitted with a green glass flame-tip light bulb. A large heater-style shield is positioned across the figure's chest and contains raised lettering providing manufacturer and patent information. The inscription reads: U.S. ELECTRIC LAMP & LIGHTER CO, OWNERS & MNFGRS OF THE, CHAMBERS ELECTRIC CIGAR LIGHTER, PAT. MAR 7. 1893, 49 STATE ST, DETROIT, MICH. The entire assembly stands on a weighted, tiered circular base. The item is constructed from cast spelter with a dark patinated finish and includes a vintage cloth-covered electrical cord with a two-prong plug.
