A pair of North American Plains Indian leggings, constructed of brain-tanned hide. Each legging features a wide vertical beaded panel executed in a multi-lane lazy stitch technique using glass seed beads. The beadwork consists of a light blue background decorated with a repeating sequence of three large geometric motifs composed of split triangles in translucent red and opaque green, bordered by yellow and dark blue lines. Four dark-colored geometric symbols resembling stylized crosses or T shapes are situated at the upper and lower terminal ends of each beaded lane. Long, hand-cut fringe is attached along the outer seams, and hide ties are present at the upper corners for belt attachment.
