A pair of North American Great Plains Sioux infant or child's moccasins. The items are constructed from hand-sewn brain-tanned leather uppers with thick rawhide soles. The uppers are decorated with polychrome glass seed beads using a traditional lane stitch technique. The design features a central hourglass motif in dark blue and orange-yellow on a white field, bordered by tiered bands of light blue and dark blue beads. The construction includes bifurcated tongues and leather laces. The pair is currently joined by a steel safety pin through the heel tabs.
