A pair of small Native American Lakota Sioux moccasins constructed from brain-tanned suede leather. The footwear features hand-sewn seams and original leather thong ties. The vamps and sides are decorated with polychrome glass seed beads in a white, navy blue, red, and yellow palette, applied using a traditional lane stitch technique. The primary decorative motif is the American flag, rendered with horizontal rows of red and white beads for the stripes and a blue canton containing yellow cruciform beads representing stars. A decorative border of navy blue beads with yellow cross-shaped accents frames the lower edge of the uppers. The construction utilizes soft hide with a design consistent with Plains tribal regions.
