The central composition features a stylized dark blue vessel or pitcher on the left side, from which several scrolling, curvilinear stems emerge, spreading across the field. These stems terminate in various abstract floral and foliate motifs, including two distinct maroon-red blossoms and several smaller bud or leaf shapes in slate blue, cream, and tan. The background is worked in a variegated hit-or-miss style using shades of light blue and grey. The field is framed by a thin red inner border and a wider navy blue outer border. The piece is hand-hooked using wool strips on a traditional burlap or jute backing. The reverse shows the structural loops, a dark fabric binding, and the hand-hooked initials PLS in dark yarn in the lower-left corner.
