An antique twelve-tube candle mold dating from the mid-to-late 19th century, likely of United States origin. The piece is constructed from tinned sheet iron, a material commonly referred to as tinware. It features twelve cylindrical taper tubes arranged in a two-by-six grid. These tubes are secured between a rectangular top plate with shallow, flared edges designed to contain excess wax and a flat rectangular base. A large, arched sheet metal strap handle is soldered to one side of the frame. The construction utilizes hand-soldered joints typical of period primitive household utility items. No maker marks, patent dates, or stamps are visible on the metal surfaces.
