This antique hand-beaded folk art belt is constructed with glass seed beads hand-sewn onto a dark brown fabric ribbon backing. The design features a repeating series of red playing card suit motifs, including hearts, diamonds, and stylized clubs and spades, set against a white beaded ground with dark beaded borders. A central panel of white beadwork displays the initials A.M in dark blue beads. The belt is fitted with a small rectangular metal buckle at one end.
