This is an antique lithographed metal advertising wall pocket, likely designed as a match holder or for distributing store circulars. The piece features a dark wood-grain finish with yellow and gold-toned lettering and ornamental scrollwork borders. The advertisement is for the 20th Century Shoe Co., located at 339 Market Street in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. Centered within an oval border is the slogan THE HOME OF GOOD SHOES. The construction consists of a single sheet of metal with a lower portion folded forward and secured with tabs to create a rectangular pocket.
