A traditional antique woodworking drawknife designed for shaping timber. The tool features a central forged steel blade with a single-beveled cutting edge. The blade tangs are bent at approximately ninety-degree angles and are fitted with two turned hardwood handles. The handles display a dark, aged patina with visible wood grain and wear consistent with manual use. One handle features a metal tang that extends through the wood and terminates in a circular hanging loop, while the opposite handle is finished with a capped end where the tang is peened. A rectangular maker mark is impressed into the upper surface of the blade near the center, though the characters within the stamp are not legible due to surface oxidation and wear. The metal components are secured with metal ferrules at the base of the handles.
