The piece features a circular form with a recessed center and an integral bar handle. A molded relief pattern of stylized petals radiates from the central handle across the top surface. The underside contains a deep circular flange designed to seat the lid securely within a vessel rim. A broad, unglazed concentric band is visible around the outer rim of the top surface. No manufacturer marks, stamps, or signatures are present on the piece. The form and molded decoration are characteristic of the petal pattern produced by the Red Wing Union Stoneware Company in the late 19th or early 20th century.
