A collection of World War II-era ephemera from the Buick Motor Division of General Motors Corporation in Melrose Park, Illinois, documenting an employee's service transition. The grouping features a pink employee separation record for David Hensley, noting he was employed on September 6, 1943, and released for military leave on December 23, 1943. This form is signed by H. E. Willmore. Included is a two-page Typed Letter Signed (TLS) on Buick Motor Division stationery, dated January 31, 1945, addressed to Pvt. David Hensley, U. S. Army. The letter, signed by Personnel Manager G. B. Musilover, details the factory's wartime production of aircraft engines for the Air Corps and mentions success in War Loan Drives. Both pages of the letter bear the printed slogan Better Buy Buick! at the foot. A handwritten descriptive card is also present, providing historical context for the items. The collection is professionally mounted and presented in a modern black frame under glass.
