A vintage carved wood working duck decoy, identified as a Goldeneye hen, attributed to the Mason Decoy Factory of Detroit, Michigan. The piece features a dark-painted head with inset yellow glass eyes and a long, sloping bill. The body is finished in a light-colored paint with dark-painted breast and tail sections, exhibiting a mottled texturing intended to mimic natural plumage. The decoy is constructed of solid wood and retains its original form. The flat underside is equipped with a rectangular metal ballast weight secured by two screws and a metal eyelet for an anchor line. There are no visible maker's marks, brands, or signatures present.
