An antique porcelain cup featuring a relief-molded scroll pattern on the upper portion of the body. The exterior surface is decorated with a lime green and cream gradient ground, over which are transfer-printed and hand-tinted purple violets with green foliage. The cup includes a single molded handle with foliate terminals. Traces of gold gilt are visible along the rim. The white-glazed interior shows a prominent hairline crack. The base of the item shows no characters, symbols, or letters. There is one small, raised kiln spur or firing lump on the unglazed foot rim (photo 2).
