A vintage fixed-blade hunting knife manufactured by the Marble Safety Axe Co. of Gladstone, Michigan. This knife is the Ideal pattern, featuring a carbon steel blade and a stacked leather washer handle. The handle is detailed with decorative spacers in black, orange, and brass at both ends. It is equipped with a single brass crossguard and finished with a crown-cut stag antler pommel, which is secured by a recessed tang nut. The ricasso is stamped with a three-line mark that reads M.S.A. CO / GLADSTONE / MICH. U.S.A., a stamp used by the company between approximately 1898 and 1911.
