This Indigenous North American vest is constructed from light-colored buckskin and features polychrome glass seed beadwork in a floral motif. The front panels are decorated with symmetrical floral sprays depicting yellow and orange tulip-like blossoms, orange berries, and dark green leaves. Four-lobed crosses are positioned on the upper shoulders. The reverse panel continues the botanical theme with three stylized floral stems rising from a central cluster of orange and green leaves. The garment is trimmed with a banded beadwork border in white, red, green, and black. The interior is lined with a light-colored, open-weave cotton fabric, and the vest is secured with hide thong ties at the front and lower back. The beadwork techniques and floral patterns are consistent with those of the Plateau region of North America. No labels or maker marks are present.
