This indeginious transformation mask is constructed from hand-carved wood decorated with traditional polychrome formline designs in black, red, and blue-green pigments. The mask features a split-face construction consisting of two lateral panels joined to a central mask by metal hinges. When closed, the exterior presents a human face with high-arched brows and large circular eyes. When opened, the mask reveals an internal face, possibly representing a supernatural being or ancestor, characterized by a wide mouth with carved teeth and concentric-circle eyes. The interior panels are carved into human profiles on their outer edges and feature painted hands with ovoid motifs on the inner surfaces. Small incised marks are present on the inner vertical edges of the hinged panels: the left panel contains a circle with a horizontal bar and a short vertical line descending from the base, and the right panel contains a circle with a horizontal bar.
