This three-gallon stoneware water cooler was manufactured by Red Wing Potteries of Red Wing, Minnesota. The vessel is constructed in a cylindrical form with a flared rim and slightly tapered base, finished in a cream-colored Bristol glaze. The front is decorated with stenciled cobalt blue markings, including a large numeral 3 capacity mark and the words WATER COOLER arranged in a slight arch. Centered on the body is a small orange-brown wing graphic, a signature hallmark of the Red Wing brand. Two pairs of horizontal cobalt blue bands encircle the cooler near the rim and the base. At the lower center, a blue oval manufacturer stamp identifies the piece as a product of Red Wing Potteries, Inc., Red Wing, Minn. The cooler is equipped with two wire bail handles and features a circular bunghole at the base for the insertion of a spigot. Capacity: 3 gallons.
