A set of eight iridescent stretch glass plates, likely intended for dessert or bread and butter service. The plates are crafted from a vibrant yellow-green glass, often referred to in the collector market as Vaseline or Canary glass. This type of glass typically contains uranium and exhibits a bright green fluorescence under ultraviolet light. Each plate features a smooth, circular center transitioning to a wide, flared rim with a distinct crinkled or stretched texture. This texture creates a shimmering, pearlescent iridescent effect across the surface when it catches the light. The items are produced in the style of early 20th-century American art glass manufacturers such as Fenton Art Glass or Diamond Glass-Ware Co., who were known for this specific technique. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the plates. Approximate Diameter: 6.5 inches.
