A two-gallon salt-glazed stoneware crock of cylindrical form featuring a thick, flared, rolled rim. The front is decorated with a hand-brushed cobalt blue capacity mark 2 above a stylized flourish consisting of a swirl and horizontal tapered strokes, commonly known as a bee sting decoration. The exterior exhibits a traditional salt-glaze finish with an orange peel texture and scattered iron spots. No impressed maker marks or stamps are visible on the vessel.
