This vintage Erector construction set was manufactured by The A.C. Gilbert Company of New Haven, Connecticut. The set is housed in its original dark-stained wooden box featuring a hinged lid and an interior shallow wooden tray. The collection consists of an assortment of perforated steel components including flat rectangular plates, angled girders, and curved strips. Several pieces retain their original red or green painted finishes, while others are unpainted or tin-plated steel.
