A vintage double-sided painted metal advertising sign for the Wisconsin State Fair held in Milwaukee. The sign is fashioned from sheet metal with a bright yellow background and black block lettering. The design features a circular graphic containing 25c on the left, with WISCONSIN STATE FAIR MILWAUKEE and AUG. 19-27 prominently displayed. A heavy-gauge metal bracket is riveted to one end, intended for mounting to an automobile bumper or spare tire for mobile promotion. The typography and admission price are consistent with mid-20th century fair advertising, specifically corresponding to the 1939 event dates.
