An Iroquois raised beadwork whimsy wall pocket fashioned in the form of a high-heeled boot. The piece is constructed on a tan fabric ground with an orange polished cotton backing. The decorative front features floral and foliate motifs executed in the Haudenosaunee embossed beadwork tradition, utilizing stacked translucent gold, black, and light blue glass seed beads to create three-dimensional relief. The composition is further embellished with small metallic sequins throughout the beaded design. Beaded fringes and tassels, incorporating both seed beads and elongated tubular beads, are suspended from the upper rim, heel, and toe. The reverse side is hand-stitched around the perimeter and includes a yellow thread for suspension. A faint, red circular mark containing an illegible character is visible on the lower section of the reverse near the toe.
