This lot consists of two antique plunger-style butter molds, characteristic of 19th-century American treenware. Each mold is comprised of a two-piece assembly featuring a lathe-turned hollow cylindrical sleeve and a central plunger topped with a turned wooden handle. The darker wood mold contains a hand-carved eight-petal starburst or floral motif on the plunger face. The lighter wood mold features a detailed hand-carved rose pattern with associated foliage and stems. The exterior of each sleeve shows a tiered, turned profile. There are no visible maker marks, signatures, or patent dates on either piece.
